A NIGHTMARE!

Today, I had a nightmare which was really terrible.
I'm sure that nightmare is the best word for my dream.
Do you want to know what happened?
On November 28th, I had a final exam. It was really final exam. For this year and also for my elementary student days.
At the first period, we had 'Korean exam'. In the midterm exam, I got one wrong answer in Korean. So, I read the text book again and again and again this time. Because, I spent lots of time studying Korean, there wasn't any difficult question for me.
At the second period, we had 'Math exam'. There was no difficult questions but there were lots of calculating questions like 'which is the cylinder that has the biggest volume?'
So every 6 grade students couldn't finish solving questions in time, so that teacher gave us 5 more minutes.There was no enough time so I couldn't recheck - I'm kind of worried if I did calculating mistakes.
At the third period, we had 'Social science exam'. Cause I am 인문영재(cultural science talented student educating program) in Ulsan, it was really easy for me. I finished in only 20 minutes.
At the forth period, we had 'Science exam'. Science was the most difficult subject.
I could solve all questions but one question was uncertain. It was about 'lever'. I'm sure I saw it in the text book, but I couldn't memorize it all. That was the problem.

Question. 다음 지레 중 받침점이 사이에 있는 것을 고르시오.
 ㄱ.펜치   ㄴ.연필  ㄷ. 펀치  ㄹ.병따개  ㅁ.가위  ㅂ.손톱깍기

The correct answer is ㄱ, ㅁ. But I wrote ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅁ. I confused the shape of ㄷ.
Gosh, I hoped to get all 100 in the exam. But my dreams are flew away ㅠㅠ
If there were pictures of ㄱ,ㄴ,ㄷ,ㄹ,ㅁ,ㅂ, I could know the answer. I'm so sad but this is my fault not reading the text book in detail. Even it is my fault, still IRRITATING.
At the fifth period, we had 'English exam'. Numer 7 question was kind of strange. There were surely two answers, but the question said 'choose one asnwer'. So, after the exam, I visited to our school foreiner teacher, and she said "I think this is question's error. So, I will give you score if you wrote one of the two answer." So I think English will be ok.

And in the dream, my classroom teacher showed me the test papers and I had 20 wrong anwers, meaning my average is 80. This was the lowest score ever. For me,average 97 was the lowest score during the elementary exams. It was terrible, unpleasent, irritating score!
So, I woke up screaming "OH MY GOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!"
So, my mother came to my room and asked "Did you have a nightmare?"



Yes, Surely!!! It WAS a NIGHTMARE. Average 80.... It can't be true.
Tomorrow, the result will come out. I'm so nervous and worried about the score.
Hope I did well...PLEASE!

Wearing a bright SMILE

I read an article which is quite impressive! So I am going to post that article on my blog.

If someone I know well becomes happy, the possibility of me becoming happy will increase by 15 percent. If someone I know indirectly, like a friend of my friend or a friend's wife, is happy, it will increase by 10 percent. Instead of having simply many friends, it is more helpful to have a few happy friends. This doesn't suggest that you should cut ties with friends who often worry.
Remember you are also the source of the happiness of your friends.
You can spread happliness by wearing a 'bright smile' on your face!

From now on, I will try my best wearing smile on my face even in the irritating situation.

Then it will help me to calm down and also be in the better emotion~

Ulsan 911 festival- Fire prevention English speech contest

Hi. It has been really long time to visit my blog and write the posts.
I suddenly recognized that there was a blog which I used for my GLPS English camp's writing class.
And I visited all of my classmates' blog and saw there is a girl who is still using it.
So, I decided to restart posting. Even I'm not good at writing and there're some grammatic errors, Please read these with generous mind!

Today I am going to talk about English speech contest about Fire prevention.
After all of the local education office's english contest disappeared, this 911 English contest became the only and the biggest English contest for elementary students in Ulsan.
In my English academy, all of the 영재원 students participated and also  I participated in this contest.
In preliminary round, all of my classmates in academy failed and only I passed!
It was kind of burden because one student in my class lived in America for 3 years but she failed and I who I haven't been abroad for studying English passed.
So, I tried harder and harder like practicing the script every 2 hours a day for one mothes even there was a midterm test in school.

And finally on October 18th, I had the contest and I got the first prize!
I am so happy and glorious that I got this kind of wonderful prize. Thanks to everyone who helped me for this contest especially mom. I love you~
It was great experience to be one part of this contest and festival.
I also wanted to put the video clip of mine but I just have some photos.

Argumentative Essay - Animal experiment

Today, I am going to write an argumentative essay about 'Animal experiment'. 

Do you think that animal experiment should be allow or not?

I think animal experiment should be allowed! 

I am sure that you will think that animal experiment is okay after reading this essay.

Then I will start my argumentative essay.

                                -Animal experiment should be allowed-

Animal experiments should be allowed.

We have to check 'Is the stuff or things that scientists invented are valuable and beneficial as medicine? Or 'Is there any adverse reactions from taking this medicine?'.

And for that, we have to experiment with cultured cells and tissues.

But, if we use this way for experiment, the accuracy is compromise. So, we can't get the good result. The best way is human experiment. Do you know the period when the medicine and medical science developed the most?

It is World War 2. Because, many people died and the human experiment happened officially and unofficially. However, nowadays human experiments are not allowed.

So, to test with animals is the most effective and realistic way to test these drugs.

First, there is no replacement of animals. If we prohibit the animal experiment, the plant experiment will be the main experiment. Then the field to develop the somatology and  medicine will decrease. So, until we find a living thing that can work like animals, we have to keep using animals for experiment.

Second, the animal experiment helps to make longer life for not only people but also animals. A lot of animals are exposed to diseases. And because of these diseases, thousands of animals could die suddenly. From animal experiment, we can check 'how does this medicine affect the body and is there any adverse reaction.' So, we can make people and animals recover by verified medicine. Thus, doing animal experiment is just preventing a great sacrifice by using small sacrifice.

Opponents of animal experimentation say animals' rights and dignity are not respected.

But I want to rebut this argument by 3R rule. 3R rule is the rule to be at least courtesy to the experiment animals.

The first R is reproduction. It means 'do experiment with the needful amount of the animals'. Let's think that we only have 5 mouses for experiment. But the scientists made a mistake and they need 7 mouses. Then they made unuseful sacrifice. So the first R is 'Do not make any unuseful sacrifice'. 

The second R is refinement. It means reduce the pain as much as we can. After the experiment, when we have to kill the animals because the bad bacteria or some thing like that, we have to anesthetize the animals to reduce the pain to the animals. 

The third R is replacement. In this case, replacement is different from the word replacement that I mentioned before. Replacement means devise a new way to experiment. Like if we use rabbit's eye, we have to use the eyes which is from a dead rabbit not an alive rabbit.

Second, even there is no side effect to animals, the people can have side effects. 

However this argument doesn't stand also. 

According to the law, you can't sell medicine if you didn't experiment with animals and test how does it affect. So, even the result could be different to animals and people, you have to test and experiment with animals.

All of the arguments of opposition side don't stand because of the rules and laws. 

However, my arguments stand because there are many examples and evidence.

Thus, animal experiment should be allowed and I am sure that you will also think 'animal experiment should be allowed'.

Disappearing SNACKS!!!

-Today, I am going to write drabble. Do you know what is drabble?

 Drabble is a short story that has 100 words exactly about a theme. 

 My topic is about ALL OF YOU in GLPS! So, I think you will be very interested in my topic.

                                Disappearing Snacks!

In GLPS, parents send us mail. 

My roommates and I go to the post room and get the mail. 

We are not curious about whose mail it is. We are just curious about how much does the mail weigh.  Because, we can imagine and predict  what will be in the box. 

Do you know what is the best mail for us? 

It is..... SNACK!!!

Even if the box is full of snacks, the snacks disappear after two days. 

It is because there is no place where we can buy snacks.

I can't understand why there is no store in KMLA.

This much of the snacks disappear in 2 days!!!

A Response Essay on the movie 'Brave'

-This is my Response Essay on the movie Brave that we watched together on Friday. I was a little bit shocked because of  the request that we have to write over 500 words. But I think writing essay over 500 words isn't something difficult after writing this essay. Please read this essay and leave the comments!-

Do you know the movie 'Brave'? In this movie, there was an unusual princess who likes to do archery and her parents ordered. her to marry with other tribes' princes. So, she went to the witch and tried to change her mother and her fate. From that situation, her great adventure started. If you listen the plot, you could think that it is just princess's kind of adventure movie but this movie is very touching and has many lessons.
First, I will give you basic information about the characters. The story happens around Merida. Merida is the princess who I mentioned already. She is really unusual and different from other princesses like Cinderella or Snow white. She likes archery and riding horses. And the queen Elinor is her mother and she is really strict about Merida's behaviors. She says to Merida "Don't do that.", "It's not the right behavior for princess.",  "It's not allowed for princess." or kind of like that.

    v.s.

Second, the personality that I  want to change. The movie was about Merida and her mother. So, there were more things that I wanted to change than other characters. For Merida, I think cutting the taqpestry was a cruel behavior. The tapestry was queen Elinor's most precious and important thing because, she tried hard to make it and sewed her families' picture. However, queen Elinor was cruel to Merida too. Even though, she is angry at Merida's behaviors, she has not to throw the Merida's bow to the brazier. Both of them just wanted others listen to them. They just said "Listen!". And they didn't try to understand each other. If they tried to listen and understand , they could have a good relationship. I think the witch who gave cake to Merida is very clever and wise. The mother became a bear because of that cake so, Merida and Elinor had to get out of the castle. And they experienced some dangerous situations 'together'  to make Elinor change back to a person. Because of this, Merida could understand her mother Elinor and Elinor could understand her daughter Merida. Both of them changed to people who can listen to others and try to understand others.

Third, the lesson from this movie. At the end of the movie, Merida had monologue. An I was really impressed a lot about the monologue. She said "Fate is within our life. And we are making to see our fate."

From this movie, I could think about the relationships between my mother and I. Even though, I am not in a good mood, I will try to understand my mother's mind and thinking. I have just one thing that I want to change in this movie. It is Merida's and the three boys' hair color. Neither king Fergus or queen  Elinor have red hair. But Merida and the three boys's hair is red. So, I want to change the hair colors to make it more realistic. I want to recommend this movie for a mother and daughter who does not good relationship!

Dear hills in KMLA,

Hello, hills. It is first time to send you letter right?
I thought it is rude to send you a letter after knowing you for only one week.
So I waited and waited for the second week.

Well... How are you? Me? I am really sorry but I feel tired and angry at you. I'm sure that you want to know the reasons why I hate you. So, from now on, I will tell you the reasons.

First, you are so curious what will happen if we slide on you.
You always make us slip and you always laugh when we  slip and fall on the ice.

Second, you are a friend with sun and snow.
When it is summer, you are best friends with the sun and when it ts winter, you are best friends with snow. So, in summer, you make us sweat, and in winter, you make us fall down.

Hills, I hope you stop doing these behaviors. Whatever, have a nice day and don't make any student fall down today, please~

Setting Goals- The habits I want to change.

There are many habits that I want to change. And for 30 days, I am going to achieve these three goals. I will tell you 'what are the three goals' and 'the steps to achieve these goals'.

Goal 1 : Sleep early/ Sleep at the same time

-Step 1: Finish the assignments quickly

-Step 2: Take a shower quickly

-Step 3: Do not watch dramas with parents at night.

Goal 2: Do not get too upset about my scores

-Step 1: Study hard as much I can

-Step 2: Take a test and don't regret the results

-Step 3: Even though I do not earn the best score, don't cry.

Goal 3: Exercise everyday.

-Step 1: Make an exercise plan

-Step 2: Try to follow the plan

-Step 3: Increase how much time I exercise

So I'm going to try to achieve these three goals for 30 days!!!

I think I might achieve it. Well... In fact, I hope so.

All about me~

Hello, everyone. My name is Tae hui Kim.
Today, I'm going to introduce myself. I know that you probably know about my basic information. So, I'm going to introduce you to something special about me.

Well... I like studying. And also, I have a special way of studying. It is my first secret! And it's the first time to share my secret: the special way of studying. I didn't even tell it to my friend. Then, from now one I will tell you my number. 1 secret. I use a board when I'm studying. So what I mean, I become like a teacher and teach students. In this case, my dolls become the students. It might sound strange but it is the best way of studying I think.

Second, I really want to go Europe. My mother said "If you read 'Far country, Near country', let's go to Europe." But it's too long and boring so I couldn't read them yet. However, my mother said "Let's go Europe in fall, 2013." So I am really excited.

Third, I will introduce you my favorite country pop singer. She is Taylor Swift. She has very good singing skills and also she is very beautiful. She is famous for being a tall singer. Her height is 180cm. It's really tall, right? And, my favorite song from her is 'Love story' and 'You belong with me'.
